2020 Orlando Chili Cook-off Update

We at Events For Change, Inc. want to provide everyone with an update on the 2020 Orlando Chili Cook-off. Although in 11 years we have never postponed the event, the current environment does not permit us to host the event to give the same level of support for our dedicated charities. We know some of you may be disappointed and we hope you will understand, but we have decided to postpone the festival this year and will recommence the annual festival in 2022. With this extra time, we are shifting our focus to our wonderful charities, local restaurants/chefs, and community in this challenging time.

We love and appreciate our chiliheads and hope they will continue to support our charities, local restaurants/chefs, and community with us. Donate today and we will see you all in 2022, at Festival Park Orlando.

What is the International Chili Society?
Back in 1967, a group of friends started a “friendly” chili competition in Terlingua, Texas. Why did they start the competition? Well, they all had one thing in common – each thought that he made the best chili and that he knew more about chili than anyone else. So why not prove it!  Knowing that chili is Americana, this group of friends recognized that there could be more to it than what they were currently doing. So, the ICS and World Championship Chili Cook-off was born thanks to grown men having fun and cooking chili for bragging rights.
To this day, the ICS continues to uphold the same core value of our founders by bringing people together to enjoy healthy competition and America’s great culinary creation – CHILI! Our mission is to continuously improve chili while raising money for charities and non-profits year-round.

Good Cause

ORLANDO CHILI COOK-OFF IS PROUD TO BENEFIT CAMARADERIE FOUNDATION & BASE CAMP CHILDREN’S CANCER FOUNDATION!

Our Mission

Camaraderie Foundation’s mission is to provide healing for invisible wounds of war through counseling, emotional and spiritual support for all branches of Post-9/11 Veterans, Service members and their families.

Our Purpose

The Camaraderie Foundation provides access to mental health counseling services, at no expense, to these Military Service Members, Post-9/11 Veterans and their families.   Our warriors and their families experience Post Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury, Military sexual trauma, divorce, substance abuse, spousal abuse, child abuse and other problems which we serve through the private sector and may supplement and/or add to existing government programs. With your support we can help these Service Members and their families.  Eighty-two cents of every dollar raised is spent directly on our programs.

Our Vision

We seek to provide Military Service Members, Post-9/11 Veterans, and their families with support, encouragement and counseling to alleviate the stress associated with their transition from the battlefield back into society by building a strong community of support around them. Through the healing of their invisible wounds, we are truly Saving Lives – Saving Families.

Our Mission

Our mission at BASE Camp Children’s Cancer Foundation is to provide a year-round base of support for children and families who are facing the day-to-day challenge of living with cancer and other life-threatening hematological illnesses.

We’ve served Central Florida children and families since 1982. Our goal at BASE Camp is to be a consistent presence that families can rely on. We support our families long-term throughout their journey—giving you the strength you need to complete the climb.

What Does BASE Camp Mean?

  • We Believe Every Child Deserves a Childhood.
  • We Achieve the Impossible Every Day.
  • We Support Patients & Families.
  • We Educate So That You Can Help Us.

We’re BASE Camp: Your Support Base for Children’s Cancer.

Like the base encampments that are built as climbers ascend mountains, our programs offer a place to stop along the journey for rest, nourishment, encouragement, and strength to finish the climb.

Cancer, sickle cell anemia, hemophilia, and other rare/orphan hematological diseases can be such mountains in children’s lives. BASE Camp serves as the support “base” where patients and their families can turn to for help and support on their journey.

Follow the Base Camp on Facebook. To learn more visit, BaseCamp.org
